Three Years Later: The Future of South Still Gloomy By: Kuol Garang, Canada May 30, 2008: Three years later, the future of a person remains grim in Sudan. Three years later, the innocent people are continuing to die from gun shot. Three years later, the Sudanese civilians, are moreover being deliberately displaced from their homes, by complex soldiers. Three years later, their villages are still being burned out. Three years later, there is yet suffering of Sudanese, displacing of civilians, and burning of villages happening before us. Three years later, the voice of an innocent person cried once again for help. Three years later, there is another Sudanese militia man put the innocent person at gun point to kill him in Abyei, to control his land rich with oil-God’s gifts. Three years later, insecurity is not over in Sudan, because the oil is not over in the land. Three years later, since the Comprehensive Peace Agreement was celebrated, the people from southern Sudan are even so being cheated by the masters. Three years later, they are even so begging the masters for jobs to support their families. Three years later, they even so have huge unemployment rate among other Sudanese in the country, since the independent of Sudan in 1956. Three years later, they are even so being turned away if they arrive to the master’s offices to seek for works. Three years later, the masters controlling their oil, even so make them go to bed without food, just because they are who they are. Three years later, the Bentiu, the area with the big percentage of Sudan’s oil revenue, is even so unsafe for the owners of villages surrounding it. Three years later, the southern Sudanese people do not know when equality and justice will knock at their door steps. But three years later, the tribal conflicts are happening in Sudan, regardless. Three years later, the tribal wars continued to shed more blood of an innocent humans; of an innocent women, of an innocent child, and of an elderly person in southern Sudan. Three years later, people from other tribes so far still maintain their bitter differences to kill themselves in vain. Three years later, young and old person just the same use deadly sticks and guns to kill one another. Three years later, the looting of belongings still going on between tribe and tribe to get rich at the expenses of another. Three years later, in spite of that, no comprehensive understanding between one tribe with another tribe in southern Sudan. Three years later, more precious blood was spilled again in Jonglei State because of bickering over a cow. Furthermore, three years later, the quarrel over something though affecting the lives of Sudanese in Juba is not put behind. Three years later, the trust among the Sudanese people is far from close. Three years later, the Sudanese people nonetheless mistrust each other. Three years later, they seemed to make more reckless politics with the masters who are continuing to victimize them. Three years later, the leadership anyhow divide the Sudanese people. Three years later, they continue to categorize themselves tribe by tribe for only destructive motives. Three years later, they are nevertheless making deceptive relationships with their enemies to gain some tips and wages for political conspiracies. Three years later, they still don’t think this peace will last longer. Three years later, they are looting a lot of money from local banks to buy expensive assets in the foreign countries, in case, the war breaks. Three years later, there is nevertheless clear understanding amongst the people of southern Sudan. Three years later, the people from southern Sudan are yet saying these kinds of divisive words;-that who are you to talk; that who are you to lead; that who are you to correct me; that who are you to correct her; that who are you to correct him; that who are you to correct hers; that who are you to correct his, that who are to correct we; that who are you to correct us; and that who are you to correct them. Three years later ,the insults and pride however threaten the people of 180 degrees- south. Three years later, the future of southern Sudanese is still gloomy on earth. God, encircle them with wisdom and love, before they extinct themselves out of the global campus! |
