Kiir’s Govt: A mess to be left behind for S. Sudanese to pay the pride

I can’t understand how things are happening unexpectedly in this beloved nascent nation of the Republic of South Sudan. With patriotism, I want to be very softly impartial in giving you your parts of this mess and your state of ignorance in these crises. This conflict, to start with, has taken so many dimensions: ethnic, political, social, economic, diplomatic & personal dimensions and the list goes on.

However, in that regards, you MUST carefully have to react, fight and involve putting into consideration all the above mentioned aspects.

Many people even in the SPLM/A–IO have been ignorant about their fight; some of them fight choosing one of the above mentioned dimensions that the conflict has taken, which is not idealistic. I can’t talk about those disgruntled in the government, they are just feathers blowing to the wind direction, when the winds stop, and they will fall down.

Why am I reminding you about this? Well, I would rather say I have been frustrated, ashamed, bored and disappointed by some folks who are insolently supporting Salva Kirr on “No basis and logical reasoning.”

They answer questions with questions; advice with abuse, truth with fabricated lies, and the only word in their mind is that, Riek Machar tried to remove the government by force, a claim even the great Demokirratically elected Kirr’s supporters like Makuey Lueth have stop telling because no one accepts it in the whole world.

Moreover, I said sometime back in one of my articles that we may forgive Salva Kirr but God and the Country will not. So, be mindful as his supporter, that you are in the wrong direction toward ruining this Country and your opportunities of succeeding are almost nowhere to be found.

Supporters of a criminal and warlord like Salva Kirr are bad, or even dangerous than Salva Kirr himself as a person. You guys need to wake up as early as possible and eat silently if you are not ready to bring peace, democracy, federalism and good governance to our Country.

Coming to my point of writing this article, it’s a general reminder to all South Sudanese in government, in opposition, in neutral and in other parties that we are having and of course going to have, a huge amount of debt to be paid to foreigners.

Currently, apart from other sources of getting loans like World Bank, IMF, ADB and individual states, 1.6 billion dollars (USD 1,600,000,000) have already been borrowed from the oil companies. It’s also believed that the same or higher amount is owed to various individual states including China, Russia, Uganda and many other Countries.

Leave alone the destruction caused by this war of Salva Kirr, the frustration and lost of confidence in us (South Sudan) by our major partners like US, UK, Norway, Sweden, Japan and others will compulsorily make it difficult for us to stand on our feet once again and pay those debts to their respective owners, without support from the above mentioned Countries.

China is known for their unwanted population and their large dependence on foreign investment and especially in Africa. They have nowhere to survive apart from looting and taking the resources (Money) of African Countries with their cheap and less durable items and equipment.

They are currently in very dirty deals with Salva Kirr groups so that they take over the oil for two or three years while ensuring that Salva Kirr remained in power for that period of time.

In that regard, China will bring in its consummative machines to drain off the oil wells in this Country and move it to China, we may not have the oil in the near years to come.

Apart from China which is doing its business in South Sudan, we don’t have any other Country that will support us soon financially, economically and politically and as such, it’s worth mentioning that, all the debt made under the name of South Sudan will remain to be paid by South Sudanese.

The obstructed and spoiled relationship that we used to have with our major partners will need more effort to be restored; it will only be by the will of God that those oil wells in Unity and Upper Nile states will not be drained off by China through Kirr.

You must fully understand by now, if you didn’t understand so far, that Kirr is just messing up the Country and he will go! It will be you, me and others (South Sudanese) to pay the pride.

He know very well that he has lost legitimacy at all cause and the only solution for him is to use the natural resource that we have for his disgusting personal interest of ruining the future of South Sudan.

Is that what you are supporting? Is that what you are politically, economically and emotionally trying to achieve?

We must always try to shape our future from now by doing what is needed, convenient and nationalistic. Let’s leave the politics of tribalism, domination, segregation and come up with patriotic move from our very own spirit and soul, and not from our so and so.

We are currently having our simple slogan like that of Christians: “In the name of Jesus” and that of Muslim: Allah’wa’akber”. Ours is “Salva Kirr must go” period!

    Dear Choul,
It is true that Kiir will leave behind a lot of mess to be clean up, but the million dollar question is:- who will do the cleaning? Your team “Freedom Fighters, White Army ” is not capable of that job because your team was and is part of the mess, be that in corruption allegations, maladministration, luck of vision, mass murder, tribalism and so on. Kiir is a War Lord and Criminal for killing or failing to protect Nuer tribesmen in Juba, but why are you falling short to call your leader Riek Machar the same ? Didn’t he kill or failed to protect Dinka in his controlled areas ? Is he a war lord who is ready to fight in order to advance his political demands ?.
The claim of Reik’s life was in imminent danger in the night of 15 of December does not stand on its legs, because other distinguished politicians , who were accused of plotting to overthrew the government were detained but not harm, so who would have harm him ?
Secondly, Riek’s wife said in “al Rakoba interview dated 14/08/14” internet newspaper that her son left Juba through international airport, days after his father walk out. This leaves with one interpretation:- Riek has escaped an imminent arrest, not life threat.
The citizens of RSS will be better off the day SPLM/A and its offspring disappear from public live.

  2. Bol,
SPLM – IO have the vission, the strength and political agendas – you know it. You remember, in trying to deal or remove dirty materials from a place, you will definitely be dirty before you can succeed and wash you hands later. That is the case with us my dear.

To be sincere with you, Riek tried his level best to stop the White Army (whose their parents and love one were massacred in Juba) from killing innocent civilians. It was not Riek Machar but the White Army. I hope you know the different between White Army and the Democratic Revolution though fighting together.

Coming to the said released politicians, was it not the intensive call/demand of Dr. Riek to release them, some would have been hanged or put into life imprisonment. If all were arrested, who would have denied the coup?

  3. Abiel says:

you don’t know your tribe messed up the country and you wanted to blamed the government . you’re confusing too even you don’t know if the white army are your Riek Machar’s amy you guys you’re all confusing please come back home and give your apology to South Sudanese because what I know you will not able to change this government by forces it had seen that you have headed Gambela . You Nuers you should know that you started your hopeless war in wrong places at sametime you started your war without knowing it’s consequences and i can not blame you become that is your culture (Nuer culture) proud without nothing then then regret and begging for forgiveness like what happened in 1991.don’t forget too the other tribes will used to keep hopeless war going on but will not help you.

    • We didn’t started the war Mr. Abiel. had we prepared enough and intentionally waged this war against govt (though we wouldn’t have plan like either), the length of its destruction and instability would have been lest than a week. And talking about 1991, we didn’t come back as you claims: Riek Machar came back in 2002 after when his ideology (independence of South Sudan) was highly and at last accepted by Garang, Paulino Matip only came back in 2006 after knowing that he would contribute in achieving their objective (independence south sudan). Is that clear so far?

      • Abiel says:

First of all the ideology of the independence of the South Sudan not a Riek Machar ideology it’s a South Sudanese ideology since 1947 and it had demanded by Southerns since that time.secondly you could not denied that you started your hopeless war places because your leader Machar mobilised your Nuer youths to attck an innocents civilians in villages and towns in greater Upper Nile.anyway the people from Upper Nile accepted you hopeless war because they always victimized by same person and same tribe since 1991 and today.I said you started your war in wrong places because if your war came as a results of fighting that was erupted in Juba and not in greater Upper Nile villages.

  4. Hi Chuol C. Puoch, first of all I would like to let you know that I am not Jieng or Nure, but I am South Sudan citizen. Dr. Reik is a leader and you know the leaders often hold responsible about their followers acts, the white army are Dr. Riek followers and under his command. So you can not deniy his responsibility about their crime acts committed against Jieng civilians. This also true in the side of president Salva Kirr even though he doesn’t gave any orders to his followers to kill the Nure, he would be hold responsible for killing them no matter what. Because he is a leader and the leader hold often hold responsible for his followers crime acts. Take care.

    • Bol says:

      Mr Tongum,
My response to Choul, which is not published was along these lines. The chain of command deemed both leaders responsible for for atrocities committed against civilians and the two should prepared themselves for retirement in the Hague, but blind supporters like Choul are not in a right mental state to comprehend that the era of impunity is gone.Any leader who is giving orders to kill civilians or failing to restrain his forces from killing civilians is a potential Hague inmate and people should distance themselves from him/her. a quick look at cases against Hussein Habere of Chat, Charles Taylor of Liberia and Lt Col Bedi Mobuli Egangela of DRC are live testimony of what awaiting these guys.
Choul is convinced beyond any reasonable doubts that his boss is a pour victim and a saving angle of RSS and is actively selling him for the big job !

  5. Thank you BOl, for adding it clear doesn’t need any one of us to argue about what is awaiting this two person( president Kirr and his opponent Dr. Riek Machar, it is a matter of time. I was waiting for Choul C. Puoch, response but he doesn’t do that is Ok.

  6. Khot Rambang says:

It is so shame that without the support of the foreign troops, a president can’t stand a chance. it is so sad that world can’t see the massacre done by Salva Kiir and his government. no matter what, even if the entire tribe will perish, Salva Kiir must pay for this.
