Is the GOSS focusing on the internal issues of people of South Sudan?

By Deng Ayur, Nebraska, U.S.A

JAN. 13/2012, SSN; It been now six years exactly as GoSS has its own system which it Has been managing its own affairs since July/2005 to present time. And they never had a progressive agenda to target the insecurity.

However, what is lacking for them to ascend for what they fought for  during 22 years, is it the policy? The question needs a good answer by the GoSS cabinet members, the governors of ten states, MPs, and secretary of defense of South Sudan Arms forces.

My view toward GoSS as they said a new nation is like "a child learning to walk," it is ridiculous word and unacceptable and they can't even say that word in the first place.

South Sudanese Federal government officials aren't serious about the system to control all Southern people for the good of the country. The proof is the system itself, it has failed for the past six years. The so-called trustees of SPLM/A vision have turned their back to SPLM/A vision which John Garang was known for it.

The GoSS I know at the present is about the Money. They control the money and not people. The new nation is paralyzed by corruption and tribalism which wasn't there during war-time days of John Garang.

There was a hope and that why we voted for self determination to establish our own system. Is it the system our good people fought for it?

No, the beginning was good and we believed we are going in the right direction, where we can build our permanent base for people to enjoy liberty and happiness which our beloved people volunteered to liberate us for.

The most important aspect of continuing discussion for insecurity inside South Sudan is key, but is it not enough.

Six year ago, GoSS was governing itself, insecurity was there what did they do?

Corruption was there what they did they do, civilians are killing each other daily, what they did they do?

Now GoSS is complaining about roads infrastructure, can any one believe that point as a major obstacle of insecurity? I believe  is wrong suggestion. We fought the war for 22 years without the roads.

What is GoSS thinking to hold the country together? Questions have been asked and not even the GoSS tried to answer the simple question. For example corruption, Tribalism and insecurity. Those issues are so-called GoSS failure and created more questions of nagging and destruction in the young country of East Africa. The doubt of civilian without protection is there in the South Sudan.

UN knows 100 percent knows GoSS has a weak system while civilians are suffering a lot.

Now, does GoSS believe what it has mistaken within the past six years? I wish they will admit because of the 3000 people who lost their lives in Pibor. They weren't supposed to die if GoSS didn't ingnor the Jonglei insecurity for six years.

Our people need to be educated about the new role of their lives and it needs good strategy or philosophy to recognize the role of the Government procedures.

Did any one try it? Did any one reject it? No, the GoSS didn't try its best to exercise its authority to bring justice to the people. Only they come after destruction for burial of the dead bodies, and that is shaming of GoSS administration.

There are so numerous factors facing a new nation, but I believe GoSS  should focus on insecurity first and corruption to secure the country's interest and develop in the long run.

Deng is a permanent member of SPLM/A for long time and he is supporter of GoSS to rectify its policy and its weakness to gain stronghold in South Sudan as strong party of people. you can reached him at dengayur@ymail.
